The only problem is how to store it all! These coloured Lego storage boxes are a great way to keep Lego organised and they look great in their playroom…

For Lego fans, go and see The ‘Art of the Brick‘ exhibition at London’s Old Truman Brewery – it’s a Lego wonderland. Children will be enthralled by the sheer amount of Lego blocks, which reach over one million. Adults will be mesmerised by the detail and scale of over 80 sculptures, entirely constructed out of Lego.

As parents will know, many young boys will have a stage of Lego obsession. Most, however, will not grow up to leave their career as a lawyer to pursue their true passion as Lego artists. In 2001, Nathan Sawaya did just this and by 2007 he was exhibiting his sculptures around the world. The pièce de résistance of the exhibition is “Yellow”. Sawaya’s most famous piece comprises 11,014 yellow blocks.

As it is his first time exhibiting in London, Sawaya has created special themed sculptures including a Beatles tribute and a red telephone box. He describes his work as “relatable”, owing to the fact that everyone is “familiar with it as a toy, they’ve played with it, their kids have it”.
